Jiaogulan - Herb of Immortality (China)

Gynostemma pentaphyllum originates from Asia and was first described in 1406 in the book "Herbal Medicine Against Famine".

In the Chinese province of Guizhou, an above-average number of people are said to live to over 100 years old and attribute their vitality to the consumption of Jiaogulan.

Jiaogulan is considered one of the 10 most important medicinal plants in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)!

In some countries, the fresh leaves are prepared like lettuce or spinach, but the most common form of use is as a tea.

INGREDIENTS

Although Jiaogulan is not related to ginseng, it contains similar ingredients:

+ Flavonoids

+ Saponins

+ Polysaccharides

+ Proteins

+ Antioxidants

+ Iron

+ Zinc

+ Magnesium

EFFECT

The following effects are proven by the INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF RESEARCH IN PHARMACEUTICAL AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES:

+ adaptogenic: supports the body's own regeneration process. Adaptogens have a balancing effect on hormone levels, the immune system, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels.

+ antioxidant: reduces oxidative stress, renews cells, and slows down the aging process

+ anticancerogenic: the active ingredients in Jiaogulan act preventively against the formation of tumors and slow down the growth of existing tumors

PREPARATION as TEA

Boil 1 liter of water and let it cool to 80 - 90 degrees.

Add a heaped teaspoon of JIAOGULAN to the hot water and let it steep for 5 - 10 minutes.

Jiaogulan is very potent, so only a little is needed. However, if a stronger taste is desired, a second teaspoon can be added.

In the cold season, Jiaogulan tea is often drunk with lemon or orange, and honey as a sweetener also goes well with the taste.

Since Jiaogulan tea has no side effects, children or pregnant women can also drink this tea without problems.
